Post The best smart phone is?
In my view it is hands down the Nokia N900 with abode flash support running on a open source build of linux with a hardware keyboard full bluetooth and multitasking ( at the moment I and listening to a netcast playing doom surfing the web watching youtube and also have a open source version of dune 2 running..... why? cos I can! whilst also posting this) and none of the fascist software control that lemon.... oops.... I mean apple persist in crapping on with... check the specs for yourself on the wikipeadia.... its been out for a while but only recently available in AU through the major telcos for the last month or so....

Yep, Screw Apple! They make some nice stuff but have an annoying habit of controlling your product to a point of it being unservicable, unless by apple of course.

My wife loves her iphone but just joined the ranks of the apple fail train in the process...lol She's just like the rest of them who will defend the piece of crap, regardless of faults.

Nokia have been around a while now and still continue to make a decent product, although my current N95 has it's flaws. 18 months before I can commit to a new phone again cos that Iphone crap my wife has is on my current contract....*sigh...

/end rant :)

I forgot to mention the main frickin reason I bought it in the first place.... I was more than happy with my indestructible 'Tradie phone' (Which has $10 replaceable rubber coating with 72 plus hours of standby, alarm clock, calculator and torch.) all you really need...

The N900 plays all (And I really mean ALL) video codecs (DivX, MKV ect.) most of which out of the box... It also has video out, with the necessary (standard cable, no funky plug) included and it looks fantastic on a 16x9 widescreen TV, unlike apple products like the Ipad which are 4x3... It has become my travelling media server as it also has full UPNP support through WiFi ,3G plus the 32 gigs built in and hot-swappable SDHC mocro SD card.... If I am driving, I listen to my torrents through the built in FM transmitter, riding the train I get to watch or plug in the second TV at the Mrs house when desperate housewives or Grey's anatomy is on.... Thank F#(k....
